From innovation in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, block chain and the internet of things, information is now more accessible and empowering for all.

The B.Sc. (Information Technology) course at Amity University in Tashkent offers students in-depth knowledge in building information databases, networks, software development & testing and programming. With state-of-the-art labs and infrastructure, the program also covers computational, cognitive and social subjects, including the study of the social impact of information technologies.

1) Students will be able to apply in- depth knowledge of theoretical concepts and programming skills in the varied areas of the discipline;

2) Students will be able to design, analyse, implement, and evaluate a system, process and components to meet desired needs for documenting a project;

3) Students will be able to apply IT Tools and Techniques to solve any Software problems;

4) Students will be able to apply algorithms, principle and practices of computer science theory in the modelling and design of IT enabled systems in areas of public health, safety, society and environment;

5) Students will develop communication skills, both, written and oral and thus interact with a wide range of audiences;

6) Students will function effectively on teams and also take new initiatives to achieve a common goal in global business environment;

7) Students will be able to exhibit professional, ethical, legal, security and social issues and responsibilities in the organization;

8) Students will be able to follow ethical principles/norms and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities/ norms of Software engineering and computing practices;

9) Students will be able to strategize the business plans, demonstrate the project management knowledge, design and develop plans using management theories in the construction of software systems of varying complexity;

10) Students will be able to understand the requirement of engagement in lifelong learning in dynamic IT domain;

11) Students will be able to understand the impact of the professional IT solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development;

12) Students will be able to create, compare the various methods used to store and retrieve, analyze the information for knowledge management of a given problem.

With state-of-art facilities and practical-based learning approach, students will be well-equipped to find jobs. Programming, web design and software design are all skills students develop during this course and can use when starting an IT business, freelance or consultation service.
