On November 29, Amity University in Tashkent participated in the conference “One Million Uzbek Coders-2024”
👉🏼 "One Million Uzbek Coders" is a project to train one million local programmers in Uzbekistan. The project is aimed at training young people in modern professions through free online courses.
As part of this conference, Amity University in Tashkent was awarded a voucher in the amount of 500 million soums, which gives the opportunity for students to study on the online educational platform "Coursera".
This year, Coursera published its sixth annual Global Skills Report. According to it, as a result of the reforms implemented within the framework of the “One million Uzbek coders” project, Uzbekistan took first place on the platform in terms of the number of learners as a share of the existing workforce. That is, our country was noted as the leader in the ranking of countries investing the most in providing the existing workforce with skills that are in high demand in the labor market.
The areas of greatest demand among Uzbek users on the platform were found to be programming, data science, computer literacy, graphics and design, and learning foreign languages.
