On April 10, a meeting was held with representatives of international literary studies Irena Kobald (Australia) and Henrietta Uvegés (Slovakia)
👉🏼 The session focused on the importance of cross-cultural understanding through literature and the role of storytelling in building global connections. Both speakers shared their professional journeys, insights into the literary traditions of their respective countries, and the evolving landscape of world literature.
Students and faculty had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with the guests, asking questions and exploring the intersection of language, culture, and identity in literature.
The session also included a short reading and reflection segment, where the speakers highlighted the power of storytelling in fostering empathy, bridging cultures, and encouraging diverse perspectives.
Such meetings not only enrich the academic experience but also inspire students to explore global narratives and develop a deeper appreciation for literature as a universal tool for communication and connection.
