Mrs. Umarova Irodakhon

Assistant Professor, Amity University Tashkent

Iroda Umarova is an Assistant Professor at Amity University Tashkent and a PhD candidate at the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature, specializing in the methodology of teaching languages. Her research focuses on the integration of AI and digital technologies in language education.

She holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics from Uzbek State World Languages University and has completed internationally recognized professional qualifications, including CELTA (Cambridge), Delta Module 1 (NILE), TESOL, TEFL, TKT, and the Teachers Mentoring Teachers: Practices for Powerful Professional Communities program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (2025).

With over 10 years of teaching experience in ESL and ESP across schools, universities, and international programs, she has also worked as a program trainer with American Councils (C5+O.N.E initiative). At Amity University, she developed a Language Lab using AI tools for 400 students and has led international seminars and workshops on digital technologies in education.

Iroda has been invited as a keynote speaker at major conferences, including the New Directions East Asia Language Assessment Conference 2024 in Bangkok and seminars at Nazarbayev University in Astana. She has published widely on AI in education, digital language learning, and applied linguistics in international journals and conference proceedings.
