At Amity, we believe in rewarding the hard work and excellence achieved by outstanding students in their academic endeavours. The Amity Scholarships have been initiated to encourage students to achieve their best.
Places for scholarship are limited.

About our scholarships

Our scholarships are granted annually and reassessed for the following years according to academic performance (Merit List based on CGPA). Students can view the criteria in the Guidelines section in 'Scholarships, Award & Medals' on AMIZONE, which is the student intranet portal.

Here is a list of the various scholarships we offer:

Merit Scholarship

  • These scholarships are granted at the time of admission and are based on school or graduation results.
  • Undergraduate Programmes:
    100% scholarships are awarded to students achieving 93% or above in the qualifying exams or the equivalent from another curriculum
    50% is awarded for 88% or above and 25% for 80% or above or the equivalent
  • Postgraduate Programmes:
    15% is awarded for achieving 75% or above in a recognised Bachelor's degree or the equivalent

Means Scholarship

  • These scholarships are for students who are academically proficient and need financial assistance from the University. The scholarship covers between 10% and 50% of the tuition fee of the academic year. Please note that all cases are thoroughly evaluated and the decision of the Scholarship Committee is final.

Amity Graduate Awards

  • Students who have completed an undergraduate programme from Amity University Tashkent are awarded a 20% scholarship.

Sibling Scholarship

  • When a second sibling joins Amity University Tashkent, a 15% scholarship is awarded to them.

International Students

Transitioning to university is never easy – and if you’re an international student who has never lived or experienced life in Tashkent, the process of moving to a new city could be a challenge. We currently have more than 50 nationalities within our student body and a strong mentor-ship system to help you to settle in.

Ahead of your arrival, we’ve compiled a list of useful websites, contact numbers and interesting facts to help you to navigate through the Uzbekistan. Over and above this, we also have a Student Services Centre that will guide you if you have any questions and if interested, our Corporate Resource Centre can help you look into internships or part-time work that you can take on while you study.

ARRIVAL & VISA

Amity University in Tashkent runs an Airport Welcome service for international students. The transport will be organized to take you from your airport of arrival to your accommodation free of charge. Please note that the free airport welcome service is only available from Tashkent International Airport prior to the student induction programmes.

Please ensure that you complete online form by the relevant deadline date so that arrangements can be made for you. Once you have submitted your online form, you will receive an email to confirm that your space has been booked as well as further instructions. Please note that specific details of your airport transfer will be sent to you by email about a week before you are due to arrive. If you do not inform the international office of your arrival details, there will be no arrangements made for you. Please contact the International Office if you have any queries.

Uzbekistan Visa

Visa free nationalities

Citizens of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine DO NOT NEED A VISA to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Where to apply for Uzbekistan Visa?

You can apply for a visa where Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate exist. Please note that required documents and visa fees may differ based on your citizenship and where you apply.

Visa at the airport

It is possible to obtain a visa at the international arrivals lounge of Tashkent International Airport if there is no Uzbekistan Embassy or Consulate in the country, where you are originating your flight to Uzbekistan.

You can download the official visa application form to apply for a student visa at evisa.mfa.uz. This application form is valid for all Uzbekistan Embassies and Consulates.

You can only enter the country with a student visa.

  • Receive a letter of unconditional acceptance for a study

  • Fee, payable on collection of visa
  • Stamped, self-addressed envelope, if applying by post

Registration & Customs

The essential part of Uzbekistan travel guide is the Registration of Stay; as soon as you arrive in Uzbekistan, you have 72 hours to get registered at local Immigration Authorities of Uzbekistan. Customs officers will require the declaration form upon arrival and at the departure.

Student Welfare

Student Counselling:-

Students can contact the Programme leader (PL) during office hours where counselling sessions are provided. The PL can also direct the students to the relevant person/institution should the need arise.


Student counselling will also be done in the following manner:

  •  Career fairs and Education Fairs.
  •  Extensive marketing campaigns.
  •  Visits to corporate bodies.
  •  Promotion through media.
  •  FAQs on the websites.
  •  Interaction through online services with the help of a team of dedicated professionals.

Personal interaction with dedicated staff for counselling

 

Student Support Mechanism: -

Amity Tashkent has come up with the idea of providing student support services (SSS), in order to enable the learners to fetch constant assistance in myriad ways. The students get an opportunity to interact personally with the counsellors or guides in person and through email contact/Amizone. This is most essential because the students belong to the different academic backgrounds and pursue totally different courses. Such interactions shall help in the overall development of the students and can make the international learning program more meaningful and rewarding.

 

Strong Mentor-Mentee Program: -

We have a unique 4-tier Mentoring System (Chief Mentor, Alumni Mentor, Faculty Mentor and Student Mentor). We believe that the student-faculty interaction outside the classroom is very essential for the overall development of the students academically and also attitudinally. The students have three kinds of needs viz. academic, emotional and career needs. It is in the context of these needs, that the role of faculty, as a mentor, becomes crucial. Every student is assigned a faculty member as mentor who acts as a friend, philosopher and guide and helps in his/her development. Apart from the faculty mentor, it is being contemplated that every student should be given an opportunity to interact closely and continuously with the industry, through an industry-mentor.

 

Grievance Redressal Cell

Integrally aligned with the Amity Tashkent approach for continual monitoring and enhancement of all aspects of its operation are its students' views. The views of students are sought by a variety of means; however, Amity Tashkent firmly believes that its students should be provided with opportunities through which they can express concerns pertaining to various matters such as suggestions, complaints, feedback and improvements needed if any. Amity Tashkent will also have designated and dedicated official to efficiently address the grievances of students. These officials can be easily contacted personally or through telephonic/online (email) mode or through Amizone interface. The student`s grievances related to admission, exams and results are attended to by this official/cell. This cell will also ensure timely and appropriate redressal of all grievances.
